Here we go 2013

February 12, 2013

Well….I have been conspicuously absent for far too long!  Christmas was such a crazy blur of fairs and late night making that even the thought of posting was too much to think about!  But the season is over, it’s time to look forward to a new year, and I have lots of lovely news to share 🙂

Firstly I am thrilled to say that I was invited to apply to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, and am now a proud Associate Member!  I now have access to their business and creative advice for new(ish) makers, as well as opportunities to exhibit with the Guild and take part in other things they might offer.  They are based in Bovey Tracey in Devon, and have a beautiful space in an old Mill in the town.  It’s in the middle of Dartmoor, so perfect for a day of walking, tea and art.

NOTHS logoI’m also pretty excited to be selling on Notonthehighstreet.  This should be a great addition to my outlets, as they have a big customer base and are brilliant at marketing and all that stuff we crafters aren’t so keen on!  I’m hoping it will add a steady trickle of orders alongside my more sporadic bulk orders from shops!

There are also some new myBearHands stockists around the country….a warm welcome to Bonhoga Gallery in the Shetland Islands, The Old Fire Station in Oxford, Rock & Paper & Scissor in Lincoln, Midas Arts in Lincoln, Made Just So in Bristol, and Forge Gallery in Walberton.

Phew!…well for now I will leave it there, but there are all sorts of other things in the pipe line this year which I will let you in on soon.

Until then, have fun and be good 😉
